Shipping & Delivery Policy

After an order is received, the seller prepares and packs the product. The seller may then choose an available delivery partner through the BuyDesi seller workflow.

BuyDesi's backend may query courier systems/APIs for pickup and delivery serviceability. A courier should be shown as selectable only when the applicable route and service type are available based on the information returned by the courier.

• Seller pickup PIN/address.
• Customer delivery PIN/address.
• Package weight and dimensions.
• Prepaid/COD service availability.
• Courier service type and route availability.
• Applicable shipping/rate information.

Where multiple delivery services are available, the seller may see options such as Delhivery, DTDC, Ekart or other integrated partners. The available options and rates are determined by the applicable courier integration and BuyDesi commercial configuration.

After courier selection, BuyDesi may send shipment details to the courier API, receive an AWB/tracking number, generate a label and request pickup, subject to the courier's service and account requirements.

Shipment status may be retrieved through courier APIs or webhooks and displayed in seller and buyer interfaces. Typical statuses include shipment created, pickup scheduled, picked up, in transit, out for delivery, delivered, exception and RTO.

Delivery dates are estimates unless a specific service provides a guaranteed commitment. Delays may occur due to weather, logistics, address errors, service interruptions, force majeure or other causes outside reasonable control.

Shipping charges may depend on courier, origin, destination, weight, dimensions, service type, COD/prepaid status and BuyDesi's commercial model. The customer-facing shipping amount may differ from the courier's charge to BuyDesi or the seller.

Eligible returns may use a reverse-pickup service where available. Serviceability must be checked for the return pickup address.

Customers should provide accurate delivery details and remain reasonably available to receive the parcel. Customers may be required to provide OTP or other delivery confirmation where the courier uses such a process.
